Dilated World

A song written to commemorate a dear friend that past too soon.

Send me to a place where we haven’t lost our minds.
Where the people roam, like the animals, in natures’ arms, the speckled grain of time

Unwrap the gift because it’s what you deserve, the present is our time
The colors all unwind, the blue bounces off of her like a free falling bird

It takes a lot but I know that we will have our chance to shine
Cause I hear your voice, when I close my eyes, I can see your world, inside my mind

When we focus on this dilated world. It feels like home in this dilated world

And around the bend we stop to breathe the air form the sea, surrounded by the leaves fall into the earth, our vision takes its turn

Distracted by the difference of what is real, we feel how we feel
Our bloods our throne, inside our bones, it feels like home in this dilated world
When we focus on this dilated world

Like the silence of the rain that baths in the multicoloured glow
Twist and turn to calibrate the sound hat hides behind the tone
Cause we are the seeds that dream and wait for spring when we r underneath the snow

When we focus on this dilated world
It feels like home in this dilated world

(Second voice at the end is saying this)
The branches fall away
In the wake of the day
The tree of our life
Is just trying to survive
Trying to survive
